Feria Valencia technical team meets representatives of world’s foremost manufacturers in sectors such as components and board, ahead of the upcoming edition of FIMMA + Maderalia (14 – 17 May 2024).
Valencia, 19th May 2023.- A technical team from FIMMA + Maderalia, led by the fair’s director, Alejandro Roda, is currently in Germany attending the Interzum (Cologne, 9th-12th May) and Ligna (Hannover, 15th-19th May) trade fairs. These are the world’s top events this year in the field of materials and processes for interior design and furniture manufacturing (Interzum), and systems, technology and machinery for processing and working with wood (Ligna).
The two events gather together a similar offering to what will be showcased at next year’s fresh edition of FIMMA + Maderalia, which takes place from 14th to 17th May at Feria Valencia, comprising an excellent opportunity to see the latest products on the market. And if this first fair is anything to go by, the sector is currently expanding, with numerous projects under way and new products and innovations on view for manufacturing furniture and decorating interiors.
This optimistic outlook also carries over to the next edition of FIMMA + Maderalia, which will be Europe’s foremost fair for the entire industry next year given that, as was evident ‘in situ’, the 2024 Feria Valencia event is generating great expectations amongst the world’s leading players in the sector, especially given that it will be the 40th anniversary of the biennial.
In the area of fittings and components, for example, the FIMMA + Maderalia technical team has held several meetings with the most senior representatives of companies such as Blum, Salice, Titus, Hettich, Hafële, Indaux and Kesseböhmer, amongst others. These have been meetings at the highest level at which the heads of these flagship companies have learned at first-hand about the latest features the Spanish fair is introducing.
In the field of MDF, particleboard etc., leading manufacturers such as Egger, Sonae, Alvic, Losan and Finsa, are just some that have expressed interest in the international showcase that FIMMA + Maderalia 2024 next May is poised to be.
FIMMA + Maderalia open to the world
The contacts made at Interzum over the last few days have reinforced even further FIMMA + Maderalia’s profile as a global showcase. This is becoming very evident in the interest manifested by companies outside Europe, such as the group from India, headed by laminates manufacturer Greenland Laminates, as well as by exhibitors from Turkey such as Kastamonuand Yildiz Entegre, and even Japan, including leading architectural components manufacturer Sugatsune. All of these are in addition to leading European manufacturers such as Italy’s Tabu and Cleaf, and Denmark’s Furnipart.
During its time at Interzum, FIMMA + Maderalia’s technical team also went to see the large delegation of 67 Spanish companies exhibiting independently at Köelnmesse as well as those that usually exhibit at the Feria Valencia fair.
FIMMA + Maderalia collaborated actively with Arvet-Cofearfe in this promotional initiative and the group will be helping organise trade missions to the Valencia fair for international buyers in 2024.
Next stop Hannover
Without hardly pausing for breath, the FIMMA + Maderalia team moved on to the Deutsche Messe exhibition centre in Hannover, where they are right now, to attend the global machinery and technology biennial, Ligna. A raft of sales meetings is to be held at the fair, with some of the 1200 exhibitors, including representatives of the foremost suppliers of technology, machinery and solutions for the furniture and wood industry, all with a view to signing them up to exhibit at
FIMMA + Maderalia 2024.
