The leading fairs for furniture, lighting, decor, home textiles and kitchen furnishings are set to return to Feria Valencia at the end of next September in what will be the biggest ever show for the home and contact sectors.
Valencia, 14th December 2023.- Feria Valencia will be hosting a fresh joint edition of the three foremost international specialist fairs for the interiors industry next year. New editions of Feria Hábitat València, TEXTILHOGAR Home Textiles Premium and Espacio Cocina SICI will be taking place together again from 30th September to 3rd October 2024.
The furniture, lighting and decor fair and the home textiles show are running together for the third time, whilst the kitchen furniture and equipment show is joining the combined fair following its absence last year on account of it being a biennial event.
The move marks a return to the ‘recipe for success’ that delivered such positive results two years ago, when a showcase of more than 800 international companies and brands was created that occupied more than 90,000m2 of exhibition space. Feria Valencia is as a result committed to repeating the large-scale format, with its significant domestic and international appeal, aiming to attract more than the 48,000 buyers who attended in 2022.
Change of dates
One of the new features of the event is that it will be taking place in the fifth week of September and just running into October. This timing is nothing new for fairs such as Hábitat, which over the course of its life has been held on similar dates. What this also means is that these are now the preferred dates for both Hábitat, Textilhogar and Espacio Cocina SICI, dates that avoid them clashing with any other major fair, especially in Asia or Germany, and should bring distinctly higher numbers of buyers and of Spanish and international visitors.
Market sectors such as furniture in all its forms, for both the home and the kitchen, will be a larger presence at this upcoming edition of the fair.
Hábitat, on the up
For Feria Hábitat València, this new joint event is an opportunity to boost the powerful synergies that exist between the sectors of industry involved, further enhancing the appeal of the showcase and the potential it offers buyers in the areas of both traditional domestic furniture distribution and the contract and specifier businesses, which look specifically for comprehensive offerings.
It should be remembered that the number of visitors to Hábitat soared from the 36,000 who attended the last solus edition in 2019, to 48,000 in 2022, when it took place alongside the textile and kitchen events, with 45,000 visiting this year, when there was no kitchen fair.
Textilhogar, and the synergies surrounding interiors
This will be the third consecutive edition of TEXTILHOGAR Home Textiles Premium taking place alongside Hábitat and its second time alongside Espacio Cocina SICI. The synergies this creates for professionals working in home interiors and the contract sector have enabled Textilhogar to boost its offering in the high added-value, design-centred segment of the market, featuring for example manufacturers that specialise in hotel or international projects. Once again, the event is being supported by the industry’s trade association, ATEVAL – Home Textiles From Spain.
Espacio Cocina SICI: new formats, and kitchen furniture
Espacio Cocina SICI, for its part, will be returning to Feria Valencia in 2024 stronger than ever and with a clear aim to make kitchen furniture a bigger part of the showcase, which will also include sectors such as claddings, taps, domestic appliances, homewares, lighting, worktops and sinks.
What is more the event, which is being supported by trade association AMC, has introduced a new exhibition space for this upcoming edition titled ‘AMC Kitchen Lab’, with ‘turnkey’ stands in a uniform design at a set price that will include hotel accommodation, personalised sales service, build-up, catering services and customised advertising campaigns on social networks.
A showcase of kitchen sector trends featuring only manufacturers of kitchen furniture along withtheir respective suppliers of worktops, electrical appliances and complementary furniture. It is worth bearing in mind that Espacio Cocina SICI is Spain’s only fair specialising in these sectors of industry.
