- The exclusive show dedicated to Spanish and international design is set to take place within the framework of the upcoming edition of Hábitat, from 19th to 22nd September.
- A jury comprised of journalist Teresa Herrero, designers Xavi Calvo and Alberto Martínez and business owner and designer Jacobo Ventura will select the participants from amongst the various new designers, consultancies, manufacturers and galleries applying.
Valencia, 9th May 2023.- Feria Habitat Valencia has called for applications for a fresh edition of the Salón nude, the special exhibition in which young international designers, the interiors trade (producers and distributors) and society in general come together. The show provides an environment in which to discover trends and explore the innovations emerging from the world of interiors, through the eyes of the new creators. This 19th edition of the show is being staged within the upcoming edition of Hábitat, from 19th to 22nd September.
Applications to take part are open to students, emerging international designers and creatives and schools of design on the one hand, and to new manufacturers and galleries submitting designs compatible with the spirit of the Show and the terms and conditions that apply, on the other. As a way in to the interiors industry, the show features the full scope of objects and furnishings: furniture, lighting, home textiles, kitchens, bathrooms and ceramic coverings.
Deadlines and submission of designs
Applications must register their entries by 1st June via the website, www.nudegeneration.com, after which the designs should be submitted by post between 1st and 8th June, to arrive at the Feria Valencia office by no later than 14th June. The relevant graphic material relating to each design must be submitted along with the design itself.
Selection Committee
The work submitted will be evaluated subsequently by a Selection Committee formed of a panel of experts in the field of design, who will be tasked with assessing the quality and innovation of the designs submitted.
This time, the panel will comprise specialist design journalist Teresa Herrero; designer and current director of the Fundació del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana, Xavi Calvo; fellow designer and owner of Colección Alexandra, Jacobo Ventura; and the designer, founder and creative director of Venture Experience, Alberto Martínez. Founder and creator of Salón nude, María Fontes,will becoordinating the Committee.
Once the selection has been made, the final list will be published of the participants in an exhibition that has over the years become a veritable hothouse for Spanish design. Numerous acclaimed designers have exhibited at Salón nude since its inception, including: Héctor Serrano, Alberto Martínez, Miguel Herranz, José Manuel Ferrero, Odosdesign, Culdesac, Stone Design, Javier Herrero, Luis Eslava, Isaac Piñeiro, EnBlanc, La Mamba – Omelette and Dutch desiger Marre Moerel.
