Exhibitors from these sectors have already booked more than 24,000 of the 60,000 square metres set aside for FIMMA + Maderalia, more than double the space they took at the 2022 fair.
The FIMMA area will be in halls 1 and 2 on Level 2 at Feria Valencia and will be hosting the Spanish and international companies that are at the forefront of machinery, technology and solutions for the furniture, wood and wood construction industries.
Valencia, 22 February 2024.- The International Fair for Machinery for the Furniture-making and Wood Sectors (FIMMA), one of the sections of FIMMA + Maderalia, is set to be the major feature of the upcoming edition of this biennial fair, which runs from 14th to 17th this coming May at Feria Valencia. In fact, the area dedicated specifically to machinery, technology and solutions for the wood, furniture-making and wood construction sectors is poised to be twice the size it was last time, occupying 24,000 m2 of exhibition space. Added to the 36,000 m2 set aside for Maderalia, this is set to be an historic edition of the fair – its 40th in fact – with the total exhibition area expected to be in excess of 60,000 m2.
The positive response from the leading manufacturers of machinery for the industry, both Spanish and international, together with FIMMA’s positioning as one of the leading events for booming sectors such as wood construction, has driven this significant growth. In fact, it has already been confirmed that the foremost players in this segment of the market will be present, both the principal Iberian operators and the leading international companies that are driving forces in Europe.
The companies from these sectors will be spread across the two halls housing the FIMMA offering: halls 1 and 2 on Level 2 at Feria Valencia, an ideal location as the halls are just by the main entrance to FIMMA+ Maderalia. As well as the technology and machinery on show, both halls will feature demonstration areas such as the ‘Carpenters Workhop’, which will recreate how a carpentry production line works, live. A series of demonstrations of construction with wood is also scheduled to take place. Maderalia, for its part, will occupy the whole of halls 1, 2, 3 and 3 on Level 3 at Feria Valencia.
The outlook is “very good”, according to FIMMA Organising Committee chairman and entrepreneur Santiago Riera. “The sector is really keen to show all the new products and technological solutions that have burst into our catalogues on the one hand, and, on the other, the rise of sectors such as contract projects and construction with wood is driving the market and, therefore, industry professionals’ capacity to modernise their lines of work and their products”, says Riera, the industrialist behind long-established manufacturer Rierge.
FIMMA + Maderalia promotional stand at Cevisama
In another initiative, FIMMA + Maderalia will be at Cevisama next week, from 26th February to 1st March, at Feria Valencia, with a stand to promote the main new features of the upcoming edition of the show.
Located in the Concourse on Level 3 at Feria Valencia, the stand will be a meeting point for all professionals in the realms of interior design, specifying, architecture and construction who visit the ceramic tile fair and are also interested in finding out more about the FIMMA + Maderalia event at first hand.
